What is Art Therapy?

One of the main objectives in art therapy is to improve or restore a client’s functioning and his or her sense of personal well-being. Treatment goals of Art Therapy as outlined by ANZACATA include assisting clients with “personal growth and insight, processing of traumatic experiences, and resolving of inner conflicts. Arts therapy provides a unique opportunity for the use of non-verbal communication, allowing clients to express feelings safely so that they can cope better with stress, improve their judgment and have healthy relationships.” To discover more about Art Therapy, click HERE.
